  • Put your business front and center by sponsoring a Chamber event, annual program, or digital media.

New network building events in 2022 include the Battle of the Business Bowling Tournament and the Local Lunch for restaurants.  BE PRO BE PROUD and Connecting Educators in Industry are focused on building the workforce pipeline for our community.  Also new this year are two annual program sponsorships, the Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Chamber Ambassadors, both focused on advocacy for a strong, business friendly climate in our community, county, and state.

Or promote your business utilizing the Chamber website, which received more than 145,000 visits in 2021. And don't forget the long running favorites; the Annual Meeting & Business Expo, the Golf Classic, Business After Hours, and the Arkansas Scholars Award Ceremony.

  • Van Buren is open for business and primed for new development! Known for its ideal geographic location and quality of place amenities, the city also offers potential investors helpful incentives for development along its thriving opportunity zone.

The Opportunity Zone Tax Benefit was signed into federal law as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. It encourages long-term equity investments into targeted communities through opportunity funds, with incentives tied to the longevity of the investment.

Van Buren’s opportunity zone consists of 7,200 acres and encompasses the city’s Business Park. The region is bordered by the Arkansas River, Interstates 40 and 540, and the future Interstate 49. The 126-acre Business Park is home to numerous thriving companies including USA Truck, Tyson Foods, Simmons Foods, and AFCO Steel. The Opportunity Zone extends beyond the business park to also include land available for commercial and residential development.

Geographically, Van Buren is conveniently located in the River Valley, on the Arkansas River. It is adjacent to the rapidly-growing Northwest Arkansas region and minutes from the Oklahoma border. Businesses benefit from having vast shipping options readily available to them including the railroad, air travel, and river barges. The city’s proximity to some of the nation’s longest spanning interstates is also beneficial to local industries, including trucking and logistic operations.

Corporations and investors interested in learning more about development opportunities in Van Buren’s Opportunity Zone can contact the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce at 479- 474-2761 or visit the Opportunity Arkansas for more information.
