UAFS awarded $1.7M in additional HIRED funding

The University of Arkansas – Fort Smith has been awarded a $1.7 million Higher Industry Readiness through Educational Development (HIRED) grant, one of just three universities in the state to receive awards from both the Division of Higher Education and the Department of Commerce tracks of the HIRED program. UAFS to Launch SmartChoice Tuition Waiver for Transfer Students in Fall 2025

FORT SMITH, Ark. — The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith has announced a new tuition waiver program aimed at supporting transfer students. The “Smart Choice Tuition Waiver” will provide eligible transfer students with up to $9,000 in tuition discounts starting in fall 2025, making UAFS an increasingly accessible option for students completing their bachelor’s degrees.
