  • Put your business front and center by sponsoring a Chamber event, annual program, or digital media.

New network building events in 2022 include the Battle of the Business Bowling Tournament and the Local Lunch for restaurants.  BE PRO BE PROUD and Connecting Educators in Industry are focused on building the workforce pipeline for our community.  Also new this year are two annual program sponsorships, the Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Chamber Ambassadors, both focused on advocacy for a strong, business friendly climate in our community, county, and state.

Or promote your business utilizing the Chamber website, which received more than 145,000 visits in 2021. And don't forget the long running favorites; the Annual Meeting & Business Expo, the Golf Classic, Business After Hours, and the Arkansas Scholars Award Ceremony.

  • MVSL to hold Open House & Ribbon Cutting for The MVSL Park and Sensory Sanctuary

FORT SMITH, AR (October 1, 2024)- Methodist Village Senior Living (MVSL) will hold an Open House and Ribbon Cutting for The MVSL Park and the Advanced Dementia Sensory Sanctuary on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:00 am.

The Sensory Sanctuary is a secure unit for those with an advanced diagnosis of Alzheimer's or related dementia. The calming atmosphere invites the residents to explore through touch, sound, sight, smell, and even taste. "We have already seen over 50% fewer falls, 62% fewer combative behaviors, better appetites, and improved communication skills since the Sensory Sanctuary opened in July," said Melissa Curry, CEO.

The MVSL Park is on approximately five beautiful, tree-covered acres on our campus. The park includes a walking trail with a footbridge, picnic tables, park benches, a gazebo, and boulders with plaques of God's Word. "Our residents, team members, and the community are already enjoying the park's charm and how relaxing it is," stated Curry.

These additions to the MVSL Campus would not have been possible without generous grants from The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas and The Degen Foundation.

The public is invited to attend.
