    The lighting of the Courthouse and Festival of Trees will begin at 6 p.m.

    The Van Buren Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for our 15th annual Festival of Trees! This year’s event will be held on December 7th in conjunction with the Crawford County Courthouse Lighting Ceremony, The Old Town Merchants Association’s “Living Windows,” and their all-day event, “Jingle and Mingle Christmas Festival.” These events help kick off the holiday season in downtown Van Buren, drawing hundreds of visitors to historic Main Street for the festivities.

    The Festival of Trees provides Chamber members the opportunity to sponsor Christmas trees which line the courthouse lawn through the month of December. Businesses and organizations can decorate their tree with traditional decor or get creative with fun themes that reflect their industry or favorite holiday style. The trees "come to life" during the courthouse lighting ceremony, when the switch is flipped to light the beautiful building.

    In addition to the lighting ceremony, guests are also treated to delicious snacks and given the chance to have their photo taken with Santa. The fun continues with "Living Windows", which features holiday scenes in the downtown merchant storefronts and extended shopping hours for visitors.
