The United Way of Fort Smith Area is proud to announce its 20th annual Fill the Bus school supply drive, set to take place on July 26th from 9 am to 7 pm and July 27th from 9 am to 1 pm. This cherished community event aims to ensure that students in our six-county service area start the school year equipped with the supplies they need to succeed.
Volunteers will be stationed at Walmart locations within the service area, eagerly awaiting donations from generous community members. The collected supplies will be distributed to school districts across Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Sebastian, LeFlore, and Sequoyah counties, directly benefiting students and helping to alleviate the financial burden on families and educators.
Community members are encouraged to participate by donating new school supplies, such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, and backpacks, at any Walmart location in the area during the event hours. Every contribution, big or small, helps to ensure that every child has the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
