Member Workshop: Investing in an Opportunity Zone

Learn about the Opportunity Zone Regulations and New Developments presented by Leslie Lane, President at Arkansas Capital.   



The Opportunity Zone Tax Benefit was signed into federal law as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. It encourages long-term equity investments into targeted communities through Opportunity Funds and the incentives are tied to the longevity of the investment.

The Opportunity Zone in Van Buren consists of 7200 acres that include the Industrial Park bordered by Interstate 540, the Arkansas River, the future Interstate 49, with easy access to Interstate 40. The Opportunity Zone also includes undeveloped land with both commercial and residential zones.
